Industrial Engineer
• Currently moving through a massive production ramp of over 400% within 12 months (planned). Production includes Stainless MIG and TIG welding’s, as well as Plasma, Robot operated spot weld, Robot wire feed plasma & carbon to stainless MIG welding.• Designed multiple template for different workstations to speed up the welding process using Creo Parametric 4. Reducing measuring and marking time to weld parts which helped us save 32 hours per car.• Created Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and trained operators for welding process, templates usage, Fixture usage and various equipment usage.• Setup new workstation to ramp up the Production. Divided single workorder into 2 workorders, along with doing some changes in the welding sequence to accommodate the time constraint, hence saving 50 hours per car.• Introduced a new material delivery 2 - Bin Kanban System along with warehouse engineers for the production shop floor area. Introduced a new Barcode system to keep track of all material delivery carts.• Implemented various safer and critical Lifting solution such as lifting beams, vacuum lifters along with different types of clamps and slings in order to save much needed space and time.• Planned the changes in equipment layout in order to accommodate the ramp up phase in production. Lead a team of operators to execute the changes in equipment layout using various forklifts and Lifting solutions without effecting the production rate by carrying out the layout change on weekends.• Designed fall protection platforms in order to assure safety of operators working on Robot spot welding equipment’s.• Executed fixture modification and installed new fixtures according to the requirements for new products. • Contributed to budget development and ensures adherence to agreed budgets in Industrial Engineering.
