Successfully built FAB North East Asia business and aligned it with group's international strategy. Delivered various Asian product platforms to cater to the branch customers and the various FAB regional and International branches. Accountable for various roles including Head of Global Markets Asia. Upgraded the branch Global Markets infrastructure, implemented treasury (front and middle office), while managing al regulatory approvals. Banked top Sovereign Wealth Funds, State Owned Enterprises, State Owned Banks and Family conglomerates relationships.

Responsible for restructuring the bank's Commercial Vulnerable Portfolio and managed and various workout and NPL recoveries. Member of the Group Special Asset Management team and the Group Risk Management Committee. Worked closely with credit on structured finance and capital markets deals. Six month international attachment to review FAB international branches risk structure and strategy in addition to meeting various global counterparties, Hedge Funds and rating agencies.

Responsible for the group Institutional, Corporate and Commercial treasury sales and risk advisory P&L Budget of over AED 300M. Managed ADNOC, TAQA, ADWEA, IPIC and Mubadala, ARAMCO, SABIC and KPC relationships . Built and lunched the Global Markets Commercial Sales Platform in 2014. Chaired risk, legal and compliance meetings to expand the sales platform in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Established the risk solution team to lead key novation and strategic derivatives deal out of Europe. Started the commodities trading business for NBAD. Successfully Restructured the institutional sales to increase the FX and Derivatives business volumes from Government related entities

Mandated to build the sales force for NBAD globally. I was also the 1st to build a fully functioning satellite Global Markets operations out of Dubai. Undergoing the buildup during the financial crises, the GM team and I succeeded in establishing a very profitable and sustainable global platform and a much wider product coverage range including derivatives, FX, Rates, commodities and credit. I also pioneered NBAD’s e-commerce platforms, NBAD Global Market Forum today known as one of the most prestigious forums worldwide, and the Risk Solution Business within the bank.
