Finance Manager
Current- Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.- Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.- Analyse costs, Pricing, variable contribution, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plan.- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.- Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.- Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances.- Manage the preparation of the company’s budget.- Liaise with auditor to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.- Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.- Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations.- Arranging new sources of finance for a company's debt facilities;- Supervising staff;- Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.- Developing financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk.- Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment.- Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements.- Maintain banking relationships.
