Coming in May: HOLD FAST, my original audio docuseries for Audible about the rise + fall of Backpage.com and the history of alternative journalism in America.I've worked as a producer on the Emmy-winning Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj, a news-driven longform comedy show on Netflix; edited the travel section at Thrillist; helped launch and edit the science and pop culture site Inverse; and reported for the Associated Press, the New Republic, ESPN, Deadspin, and several damn fine newspapers and magazines. My awards include a grant from the Fund for Investigative Journalism to cover an oil spill in Arkansas; a national Sigma Delta Chi for newspaper feature writing; and a big-ass silver belt buckle from the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association, for a Sports Illustrated feature about pro saddle bronc riders racing around the American West.I grew up in Arkansas, have visited 47 states, and moved variously around three Canadian provinces. Since 2014 I've made Brooklyn home.
