My name is Samer, an independent documentary filmmaker and photographer based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. My passion for filmmaking began in 2011 during the Arab uprisings, which marked the beginning of my journey in this field. I studied cinema at the Advanced Institute of Art Techniques in Tripoli, Libya, and developed my skills under the mentorship of professionals from the Scottish Documentary Institute, in addition to participating in various training programs on Arab and international platforms.Over the past decade, I have built a strong foundation in visual production, with my work featured in numerous local and international festivals, earning several awards. Most recently, my documentary Work and Struggle was honored at the Erato Human Rights Film Festival. I am also a co-founder of the Libya Film Institute, an independent, non-profit cultural organization dedicated to promoting and nurturing afilm culture in Libya.اسمي سامر، صانع أفلام وثائقية مستقل ومصور فوتوغرافي مقيم في روتردام، هولندا. بدأ شغفي بصناعة الأفلام في عام 2011 خلال الانتفاضات العربية، والتي كانت نقطة انطلاقتي في هذا المجال. درست السينما في المعهد العالي لتقنيات الفنون في طرابلس، ليبيا، وطورت مهاراتي تحت إشراف مرشدين من المعهد الإسكتلندي للأفلام الوثائقية، بالإضافة إلى مشاركتي في برامج تدريبية متنوعة على منصات عربية ودولية.على مدار العقد الماضي، بنيت أساساً قوياً في مجال الإنتاج البصري، حيث تم عرض أعمالي في العديد من المهرجانات المحلية والدولية، وحصلت على عدة جوائز. وكان آخرها تكريم فيلمي الوثائقي "العمل والنضال" في مهرجان إيراتو لحقوق الإنسان. كما أنني من مؤسسي مؤسسة ليبيا للأفلام، وهي مؤسسة ثقافية مستقلة غير ربحية تهدف إلى تعزيز وترويج الثقافة السينمائية في ليبيا.
