These Group activities extended throughout the Middle East. This Group had an annual turnover over CAN$ 220Million; had 2500 employees; 65 branches throughout the Middle East and organizationally was bifurcated in 11 divisions.¨- Managed a team of 65 financial accounting staff and provided financial and operational support to managers in each of the division’s branches worldwide, and hiring the team members, setting up organizational structure, coordinating the training program, and setting up the development methodology;- Formed a strategic relationship with Al Alamiah’s major suppliers, including Dell, 3Com, Acer, Microsoft, and others which was reflected in adopting just in time inventory method and reducing inventory days to 35 days;- Supervised financial accounting systems initiatives, including Great Plains Software and Oracle Financials;- Supervised and Trained an extensive staff and created select teams, resizing the workforce from over 350 people to a streamlined 220 while maintaining the same revenue as a result labor cost was reduced by 23%; - Worked on several strategic projects that resulted in spinning off business lines into new companies.
