• Design and develop novel aircraft mechanical systems to meet the needs of the ever-evolving aerospace industry• Define mechanical system requirements and interfaces by working with an interdisciplinary team• Perform trade studies of the system and its components utilizing novel and proven concepts• Complete detailed analyses to optimize the design (Structural analyses using ANSYS FEA and calcs, kinematic analyses, tolerance analyses, rigging and freeplay analyses)• Create detailed engineering drawings of complex components utilizing GD&T to optimize for function and cost• Plan and execute mechanical tests to validate and/or improve designs • Complete and support technical reviews• Support flight testing by modifying mechanisms for instrumentation and by monitoring live flight data• Help sustain current aircraft platforms by creating product test procedures and by supporting field issues (Gray Eagle, Predator B, Predator C)

• Modeled parts and assembled the CAD files to help create a final SolidWorks design • Modeled and built a mount for the linear throttle actuator in order to attach the actuator to the engine• Helped build a steel intake system and integrate bilge pumps into the system using mounts and hoses

• Ran Simulations on various models of braces and differential carriers in order to determine ideal structural designs • Modeled several different air intakes and ran flow simulations to create a CAD design of a potential intake system
