Having worked as a pioneer in digital advertising, event and experiential marketing, Sam has also added creative technology, retail, experience design and social engagement expertise over the last 2 decades while working with many of the top brands in the world. Sam has spent his career challenging brands to create experiences and campaigns that bridge the gap between company and consumer with engagement (customer, press and social) at the core. He has worked in industries ranging from pharmaceutical to technology, toys to television, all with the driving force that excellent creative thinking and top-tier execution always win out. Three of the companies that Sam has been either a key executive or founder of have been sold and he understands what it means to work in a small team or managing a staff of hundreds. In addition to excelling at his craft, Sam focuses much of his time on teaching others. Teaching and mentoring are in his DNA as a Professor of Media & Propaganda at the City University of New York's Hunter College, a frequent speaker and writer on the topics of creativity and experience and as an mentor/advisor to others in the industry. He currently serves on the advisory boards of Bitten, a conference focusing on food culture and technology and Correlate, a cutting edge data analytics platform.
