Development Advisor
Current•Review solicited and unsolicited proposals, for projects specific to gender equality (GE) and women’s empowerment in Bangladesh and provide analysis and advice on gaps in the documentation with regards to best practices and approaches to achieving results, potential risks, issues, constraints, opportunities, lessons learned, and possible synergies with other programs and sectors, including justification for recommending specific GE levels•Support GE team in the preparation of project approval documents (including logic models, performance management frameworks, risk registers, project management frameworks, and budget), using results-based management•Review project documents and provide recommended revisions including advise on the quality and integrity of information and on compliance with Bangladesh’s GE regulatory and policy framework to enforce desired standards•Assess the capacity of local organizations and institutions in implementing proposed initiatives in relation to GE and women’s empowerment to identify potential partners with appropriate programming capacity to achieve meaningful results•Provide guidance to GAC’s project-implementing partners and executing agencies on GAC’s FIAP•Review and provide analysis on GE documents, reports and articles, surveys, etc•Attend donor and technical group meetings related to GE and women’s empowerment and make brief summaries of the meeting as a resource person to be used internally by GAC•Accompany GE team on field missions to assess and monitor the effective implementation of GE specific projects, identify problematic areas and advise GE team on appropriate corrective measures•Provide advisory support to monitoring field missions, including the successful (or not) meeting of key performance indicators•Provide professional and technical insights and act as interpreter during the meetings, both in field and in Dhaka, that are conducted in Bangla
