CH-47F (Boeing Chinook Pilot)

Chief Operations Officer for the 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade. Responsible for 3CAB in all matters concerning training, operations and plans. Additionally responsible for facilitating brigade MDMP and operational lift planning throughout the brigade. Establish Brigade systems and programs that develop leaders of character, train competent aviators, and execute rigorous operations throughout the 3CAB AO.

Company Commander for the only CH-47F helicopter heavy lift combat aviation company in the 3rd Infantry Division. Responsible for the combat readiness, training, discipline, morale, welfare, administration, professional development, accountability, safety, and morale of 68 Soldiers and their Families. Responsible for the planning, coordination and supervision of all activities which support the unit's mission. Responsible for the maintenance and combat readiness of 12 CH-47F helicopters and all associated MTOE equipment valued in excess of $375 million. Took Command of 68 Soldiers while deployed in a Combat Zone and redeployed all 68 Soldiers safely back to Home Station. Personally completed 49 combat missions during the rating period, supporting U.S. and Coalition forces across TAAC-E and participating in the closure of five Forward Operating Bases; personally moved 480 personnel and 380,000 pounds of cargo with zero safety incidents or accidents. Rectified property issues involving ERFS left in CENTCOM by other units; saved the unit over $200,000.

Brigade Assistant Operations Officer assigned to 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, consisting of over 3000 Soldiers, one Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, one General Support Aviation Battalion, one Assault Helicopter Battalion, one Heavy Armed Reconnaissance Squadron, and one Aviation Support Battalion. Responsible for planning, coordination, synchronization, and resourcing of complex, realistic training to increase and sustain the combat readiness required to provide continuous attack, reconnaissance, air assault, air mobility, and MEDEVAC support to ground forces in the 1st Cavalry Division to include; Field Training Exercises (FTX), Combat Training Center (CTC) rotations, and aerial gunnery qualifications across multiple airframes. Additionally, develops products for the Operations Officer to help communicate the brigade mission and Commander's intent to wide and varied audiences. Responsible for maintaining technical and tactical proficiency as a CH-47 Pilot-in-Command.

Flight Platoon Leader in the only Chinook Company in the Air Cavalry Brigade; personally responsible for the supervision, training, and welfare of 8 enlisted personnel, 6 Non-Commissioned Officers, and 7 Warrant Officers. Responsible for the scheduling and planning of daily flights within a flight company of 12 CH-47F and 53 crew members, in addition to 6 staff supported aviators, 1 staff non-rated crew member, and 2 medical officers. Flight company liaison for the coordination, planning, and execution of Air Missions across Fort Hood and the greater central Texas area. Charged with performing as Company Executive Officer in addition to duties as a Platoon Leader, ensuring the coordination of logistics and maintenance for company-level ground assets to include vehicles, trailers, generators, weapons, NVGs, and CBRN equipment. Personally responsible for 4 CH-47F and a hand receipt in excess of $180 million. Responsible for maintaining technical and tactical proficiency in the CH-47F during day, night, NVG, VFR, & IFR conditions.
