Sam is a Private Wealth Adviser in the Hobart office for the Shadforth Financial Group, providing financial planning and investment advice to a range of clients from wealth accumulators to retirees.Sam has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Tasmania and a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA). He also holds the internationally recognised CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner designation, the highest certification within the financial planning industry, and is a member of the Hobart Chapter of the Financial Planning Association.Prior to joining Shadforth in 2006, Sam worked in the tourism industry in Los Angeles and with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in Hobart. Sam has particular focus on providing strategic and investment advice to Self-Managed Super Fund’s, including assisting small to medium enterprise owners, agribusinesses, and farming families. He also specialises in providing strategic investment advice to not-for-profit organisations to assist stakeholders in achieving their objectives. Sam features as regular contributor to ABC radio’s Tasmanian Morning’s Program via his regular finance updates and provides analysis across all forms of media on topical markets issues as they arise, including within the aquaculture and agriculture sector. Away from work, Sam enjoys spending time with his wife Ally and three-year-old son Leo, playing golf, and travelling.
