My history: * Started in military human factors science & technology research* Studied a masters degree, registered as a psychologist & worked in the big wide world* Joined the Australian Army and found excitement again in aviation human factors psychology* Extensive experience in Defence Human Factors & Human PerformanceMy experience in human factors includes development & design assurance to a range of Defence programs of work, contributing to the reduction of design, training & operational risks, while contributing to the delivery of superior human factors integration and performance. Includes physical design, layout & evaluation of operational workspaces; human machine interface design & evaluation; anthropometric studies on design proposals; human performance issues such as fatigue, alertness and decision-making; training and simulation; and the interpretation, tailoring and application of human factors standards and guidelines.My experience in organisational & individual psychology includes personnel selection; counselling & mental health interventions; measurement of individual & organisational behaviours (e.g. job satisfaction, fatigue, culture, stress); & interventions for improving organisational culture & leadership.My most enjoyable & deep work has been within human factors, focusing on aviation psychology, fatigue management, safety culture assessment, unmanned systems (drones), space, surveillance systems & maritime/joint.
