Specialist Military and Human Factors Psychologist roles within the ADF. Currently on a Human Factors contract with Army.Experience includes:* Army Aviation helicopter and ADF uncrewed air vehicle capabilities. Responsibilities such as safety climate monitoring, fatigue management, operational airworthiness, psycho-educational presentations and organisational human factors advice. I have deployed on war-like operations in support of Army Aviation operations and airworthiness audit teams and supported major incidents. * Military staff member at the Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG) as a Human Performance specialist providing liasion and subject-matter-expertise to Defence Scientists, the Defence Force and University/Industry partners.* Support to RAAF JORN capability as a military psychologist and specialist advisor in culture, organisational development, fatigue management, operations room design, HMI and training systems.* Support to RAAF Space Surveillance Unit (SSU) with specialist military psychology and human factors guidance in fatigue and workforce management and Space Domain Awareness (SDA).* Support to RAAF Aviation Medicine Institute (AVMED), including human factors training, fatigue management and human factors advice for uncrewed aviation systems.

Psychological assessments of Australian Defence Force (ADF) applicants. This role had a focus on conducting a clinical and person-job-organisational fit assessment using a risk-based decision making model. I was also required to debrief and risk-manage candidates who I decided were 'psychologically unsuitable' for Defence service.The average time frame for an interview, 3 page report and shorter client report was just over an hour. Through use of handwriting recognition technology, I found time savings of 1 hour per day and improved the quality of reports.I have conducted and written up over 1300 assessments.

Initially, development of 'Cultural Competence' training for the organisation. This required extensive liaison with the NGO sector.Following this, development and implementation of a 'Talent Management Program' for senior officers & executives within the Service Delivery arm of the department. This was founded on the Lominger competency model, underpinned by a 360 degree feedback process, coaching and facilitating team development.

Convening 2nd year ‘Organisational Psychology’ & ‘Training & Development’ courses covering job analysis, recruitment & selection, job satisfaction, stress & burnout, teamwork, leadership, organisational change & adult-learning.
