I have a strong background in product leadership, digital health and strategic planning.In my current role, I am fortunate to be able to lead Movember's Digital Health product teams across cacner and mental health, focussing on customer-centricity, creating value for the men we serve and their communities.I enjoy the challenges of establishing and enabling high-performing teams and nurturing the talents and aspirations of the team members under my guidance. I have a Masters degree in Medical Statistics and an Executive MBA, giving me a unique perspective on the domains of research, management, strategy and digital product. My particular interests are in the emerging disciplines of data science and big data analytics, especially as they relate to health service delivery, health economics and epidemiology. Some of these projects include:Medical Imaging Department (Alex G Pitman) - Consulted with Prof. Alex Pitman on a number of projects over successive years in combination with his AMS students. Most of the work focussed on the PEDIP project (Perceptual Errors in Diagnostic Imaging Performance).Monash University - Before undertaking an Honorary Lecturer position at Monash University, I donated my time to the Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences to offer statistical support to projects for PhD students and Masters students. Such projects included the consistency of ultrasound measurements using difference probe types and the ageing of deceased children using forensic dental records.Australian Sonographers Association - Contracted to provide analysis of nationwide data collected by the ASA to determine the need, appeal and support provided by key stakeholders for enhancing the role of clinical sonographers.Victorian Society of Nuclear Medicine Technologists - Contracted to perform statistical analysis of data generated by pilot studies to test the potential efficacy and both financial and time savings generated by the expansion of further training in CT for Nuclear Medicine Technologists. The data generated by this project and the subsequent analysis was then used by the DHS as the basis for providing funding for the generation of a training package now implemented and undergoing review by the DHS.

This role was responsible for all day-to-day operational facets of this busy, private focused, comprehensive radiology service. Responsibilities can be summarized into the following areas and duties include: Management of all operational facets of the business, Drive "private practice" approach to all facets of the business, Liaise with the Medical Imaging Department executive team to ensure that all facets of the business are supported.Manage reporting of examinations to ensure rapid return of results to clinicians, Monitor and improve workflow. Creation and fostering of a team oriented environment. Provide clinical leadership through direct mentoring of staff. Perform examinations if required and within scope of practice to ease the workload at high demand times. Manage fiscal performance of CMMI to ensure a positive profit growth year on year. Ensure all staff are currently appropriately licensed and registered. Maintain a highly qualified and motivated staff workforce. Allocate staff to provide a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week service. Monitor staff performance. Develop and maintain a Quality Improvement Scheme that will ensure CMMI is prepared for Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation in 2012. Generate and update a policy and procedures manual. In conjunction with the Business Development Manager, and liaison with referrers, ensure that strategies are put in place to provide the highest quality and most efficient service that meets the referrers needs. Supervise the education and training of all staff by offering support for further and continuing professional education as well as creating opportunities for all staff to share expertise and experience.

The SARA trial is a randomised, controlled, double-blinded clinical trial to assess the efficacy and safety of two methods for placing axillary nerve blocks in patients undergoing upper limb surgery. Development, maintenance and management of the Autralasian Regional Anaesthesia Collaboration on-line database, an online register of all peripheral neuraxial blocks performed in the Australasian region. Involved not only local follow-up of patients, but also management of the online environment and generation of reporting facilities and processes to allow benchmarking between participating hospitals.Generation of reporting documentation to St Vincent's Human Research Ethics Committee as required.Generation of documentation supporting ethics submissions and grant applications for projects involving regional anaesthesia and particularly those involving the use of Ultrasound techniques. Statistical analysis of research projects as required for publication/presentation. Also consultation with anaesthetic staff regarding statistical techniques for analysis of other projects.
