I founded Adaptalux Ltd based on a product designed by myself whilst at University, the Adaptalux Lighting Studio. Adaptalux provides dynamic and powerful LED lighting for photography and videography. Thanks to its innovative modular design, thousands of lighting combinations are possible, making it the most adaptable miniature lighting studio on the market.I raised over £107,000 in May 2015 on Kickstarter from my parent's garage, allowing me to "kickstart" this company, an ambition of mine for many years. We now are an international business, selling all over the world based in the UK with good growth. Adaptalux aims to continue to innovate and launch new lighting products whilst educating photographers around the world.My roles at Adaptalux include business management, product design, electronic design, software design, and managing the Adaptalux team as a whole.I am working on many more new and innovative ideas to keep growing Adaptalux and to continue inspiring macro photographers.

Catalyst Consulting provides Lean Six Sigma training and consultancy solutions, enabling results for our clients by helping improve efficiency, service and overall performance through Lean methodology and Lean Six Sigma training. Catalysts consultancy solutions develop the right skills to help create and deploy a culture of continuous improvement.My role at Catalyst is to promote Catalyst products via social media marketing and to also create infographics and marketing visual content for global use. I am also utilising my skill set to help design a new .training website, which will offer online courses globally on Lean Six Sigma.

Create 2D drawings, 3D models and design various parts for professional loudspeakers and compression drivers. This Placement developed my engineering side of design considerably and I worked with a strong team of people. My main job role was creating engineering drawings for manufacture and prototyping, this consisted of full assemblies, sub assemblies and individual parts. Alongside this I also created 3D models using Siemens NX for development and manufacture. I learnt a great deal about loudspeakers and compression drivers, primarily improving existing products and also working on new projects for different customers. I learnt a lot about different manufacturing techniques and how it is crucial to select the right material and evaluate all important design features to ensure they can be manufactured from the selected method in the most cost efficient method. It also taught me how to tolerance correctly to very small increments of precision and how vital this is to manufacturing tooling.I also learnt a great deal about sourcing materials, getting part quotes, BOM costs, product finishes, distribution and prototyping.
