Sam Marks is currently the Director of Business Strategy and Analytics with the Boston Bruins and TD Garden. In this role, he leads the club and venue's Solutions, D&A, and BI functions as a part of the broader Strategy and Analytics team, empowering the organization to make effective decisions in a data-driven manner.Sam has several years of experience in the Sports, Media, and Entertainment industry, with prior career stops at the Arizona Coyotes (Senior Director, Strategy and Analytics), VaynerMedia + VaynerTalent (Director of Strategy and Business Development), and as the inaugural employee at Mylance (Director of Strategy).Sam earned his MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University in 2020, with concentrations in Decision Sciences and Strategy. In the Summer of 2019, Sam interned as a Corporate Strategy and Data MBA Intern at the National Football League in New York, NY. Sam also continued his work on-site as a Student Consultant for the Chicago Bulls' Business Analytics and Strategy group in Chicago, IL.Prior to pursuing his graduate degree, Sam worked in strategy and management consulting for four years, most recently as a management consultant with Accenture Strategy, specializing in strategy-related roles in the Media industry. Sam was also formerly a Consultant for IBM Global Business Services, specializing in the Financial Services and Mobile industries. Throughout his career, Sam has worked on a wide range of engagements in multiple industries and verticals.Sam earned his B.S. from Duke University in 2014, with a double major in Chemistry and Economics and a concentration in Environmental Chemistry. A dual citizen of the United States and Germany, he enjoys traveling, running, and reading. Sam's skills are honed from a wide breadth of experiences and activities and a broad perspective that allows him to work hard and think outside the box.
