Job description: Planning, execution and reporting of system tests and system verifications against system and user requirements for clustered Linux platform called FlexiPlatform which was build on multi-vendor hardware servers. Main responsibility area included different network protocols (SIP, SNMP, COPS, Diameter, IPSec) over different transports (TCP, UDP, SCTP), load balancers and High Availability Services (HAS) but I also familiarized myself with system administration, system stability, maintenance & management and performance related issues. At the time supported hardware’s were Nokia Blade, IBM BladeCenter, ATCA, OcteonRM, HP ProLiant, and HP BladeSystem which were running either Red Hat or MontaVista Linux operating systems.

My job description was to develop Voice over IP services with Cisco technology on UNIX servers and acceptance testing of Cisco Call Manager solutions. I worked as specialist both in IP-telephony and PSTN networks and verified new technologies for both of these networks.Close co-operation together with product manufacturers including weekly meetings were also part of my responsibilities. I also participated in sw acceptance testing for PSTN switches.Elisa VoIP network consisted of Cisco systems software running on Sun hardware and Solaris operating system and from Cisco routers. These VoIP network elements were mapped with PSTN network and against ETSI specifications.
