 Monitored all DNFB issues relating to the front-end process and worked closely with Engagement Director to help reduce bad debt. Created a quality control program to ensure all registrations/admissions contained verification, proper consents, financial collections and documentation. Utilized quality control information to track common errors, performance improvement initiatives and educational/feedback in-services to staff. Worked closely with case management to improve inpatient process flow, authorizations, concurrent review and reduce denials. Informed staff of relevant changes and developments in payor requirements. Managed day to day operations of the Admitting Department and facilitated billing/collection processes. Responsible for directing, organizing, coordinating, budgeting and evaluating the services provided by the Admitting Department according to policy and procedures established by the hospital.June 2005 - March 2007During initial phases, worked closely with the IT department in developing and maintaining the MS4/ADT as well as other admitting applications; i.e. system integration/interface testing, customization and implementation. Maintained the admitting department’s applications. (i.e. MS4, Passport, HDX, Easy Web, Ibex, Your Pay, etc.) Provided support for system problems, troubleshooting errors and training updates.

 Ensured all medical records are complete and sent to the proper departments in a timely manner. Monitored ER and Outpatient Admitting functions, on a daily basis, to ensure accuracy and completeness of records, as well as efficient utilization of staff and resources. Interacted with Nursing and HIM to promote accurate documentation. Communicated with the Admitting Director re: employee and/or departmental issues. Reviewed and revised forms to reflect mandated Federal requirements; i.e., HIPAA, MSP. Trained all new hires and current employees on the registration system, admitting processes and update training material.
