Samia Hasan has a B. Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture and currently pursuing her M. Sc in Biotechnology. Originally from Bangladesh, Samia is studying abroad in India. She is trilingual in Bangla, English, and Hindi. She has knowledge about different Agricultural techniques, Farming pattern, Plant pathogens, Insects, Forestry, Genetic engineering, Cell biology, Plant biotechnology, Tissue culture technique, PCR operations, different Blotting and chromatography techniques. Her research interests include but not limited to: • Developing genomic engineering technologies (Transcription activator-like effector nuclease (TALE), clustered regularly inter-spaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR) for crop improvement.• Identification of bioactive compounds from endogenous medicinal plants against cancer.• Sustainable and climate smart agriculture for a resilient coastal area.• Nanotechnology advances in plant sciences & biotechnology.• Assessment of soil heavy metals modifies the chemistry of the environment.• Herbicide rotation and tank combinations to manage weeds that are both vulnerable toand resistant to herbicides.
