PT Nestle Indonesia is one of the largest FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) companies in Indonesia. Nestle's distribution system is one of their competitive advantages over many competitors operating in the same field. However, the Indonesian region is a unique case in terms of the variety of resellers, the division of sales areas, and the complexity of the distribution system. Therefore, in 2004, Nestle Indonesia's top management decided to replace their current decentralized distributor management system with a centralized one using SAP technology. I was hired as a business system analyst to start a pilot project on this topic. Responsibilities: 1) Capturing and evaluating the existing business process2) Defining user requirements for more than 200 distributors 3) Re-engineering Nestle’s Distributor-Headquarter Business Process4) Developing an SAP-compatible Distributor Management System system designAchievement: The final system design was implemented in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Philippines in 2005 to replace the locally developed systems such as ND95 in Indonesia.
