Senior Advisor in the Office of the Chief Economist, where I support the use of cost-effectiveness evidence throughout USAID programming. My work focuses on synthesizing existing evidence and using it to inform program design and implementation.

My role was focused on supporting USAID's new Office of the Chief Economist, with a focus on advancing the use of cost-effectiveness evidence throughout the Agency.

I was responsible for supporting the JBJ Foundation’s decision-making process from a development economics perspective. My role involved conducting economic analyses and literature reviews to inform investment decisions, program design, and appropriate monitoring and evaluation requirements.

My role at PxD focused on ensuring that PxD's operations and innovation work was informed by rigorous evidence, and on identifying opportunities for PxD's research to fill gaps in the existing evidence base. During the second half of my time at PxD, I led a team of over 30 colleagues to identify the most cost-effective and scalable opportunities to deliver and measure the impact of PxD’s digital agricultural advisory service. Prior to that project, I worked closely with PxD country teams, researchers, and research affiliates to manage the implementation of randomized evaluations, product development, and other impact-focused projects, with a particular focus on PxD's work in Gujarat, India. Throughout my time at PxD, I provided guidance and oversight to Research Associates and other colleagues throughout the organization on research activities including data collection, cleaning, and analysis; project management; and professional development. I also actively contributed to research dissemination and outreach activities through presentations, blogs, and meetings with partner organizations.

I worked with the Founders Pledge community to identify the highest-impact giving opportunities in line with members' core values. I also provided strategic guidance on philanthropic giving and the charitable sector more broadly. In addition to advising individual philanthropists, I launched the Founders Pledge Global Health and Development Fund, which aims to identify and fund the best opportunities for additional resources to substantially improve the lives of the world’s most vulnerable communities.

I led J-PAL's policy outreach related to financial inclusion and cash transfers, managed J-PAL's database of over 900 evaluation summaries, and played an integral role in designing and launching the Innovation in Government Initiative, a competitive fund that supported partnerships to encourage the use of evidence by governments around the world. I also built comparative cost-effectiveness analyses to inform policy decisions, managed the production pipeline for J-PAL's database of summaries of impact evaluations, and published blog posts and academic papers to help others apply J-PAL's methodology. I led partnership development and fundraising initiatives for J-PAL's work in Brazil and throughout the Latin America and Caribbean region, often communicating entirely in Portuguese and Spanish.

I wrote policy publications, forged new research partnerships, and disseminated evidence from J-PAL's network of researchers. I was a member of our finance sector, which works to understand how financial products and services can help in the fight against international poverty, our cost-effectiveness analysis team, and our government partnerships team. I also worked with our staff located in Brazil and contributed to the Evaluation Summaries posted on our website.

As a research assistant in the Finance and Private Sector Development unit, I ran and reported on regression analyses, interpreted and cleaned large datasets, and conducted research to help analysts within the unit. My work largely focused on financial capability interventions and addressing the links between financial literacy and improved financial behaviors.

I assisted with the creation of the syllabus and developed weekly problem sets and review materials for the introductory Econometrics course taught by Dr. John Harrington at Johns Hopkins SAIS. I held weekly review sessions with students to go over the course material and applicable Stata code, and helped to facilitate communication between the professor and the students.

Working closely with Dr. Bilal Zia, I held weekly review sessions for students in the course, graded problem sets, quizzes, and exams, and helped to facilitate communication between students and the professor.

As a virtual intern with USAID's Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean, I developed a new tracking platform for PPP programming in Latin America and the Caribbean, conducted landscape, mapping, and sustainability analysis of USAID’s PPP work in LAC, and created a framework with which to analyze the sustainability of our PPP projects in the region.

As an intern in the Economics Section of the U.S. Embassy in Lima, I was responsible for compiling and summarizing weekly news highlights, collecting and analyzing new economic data, preparing materials for the Ambassador and others' meetings, and drafting reports on events and trends relevant to policymaking in Washington DC. I coordinated the visit of a high-ranking U.S. government official to Peru for trade negotiations, as well as a training for Peruvian judges led by representatives of the U.S. Department of Justice.

As an intern in the Migration, Remittances, and Development section, I collected data on migration and remittance flows related to Latin America, attended and reported on events relevant to our section's work, created profiles of countries within the region, and conducted surveys to better understand the Albanian nostalgia trade.

As an intern in the Development department at CBPP, I researched funders and trends occurring in the philanthropy sector, compiled articles that cited the Center's work on various media sources, attended and reported on relevant events throughout the DC area, participated in large fundraising campaigns, and assisted with constituent information management. I also assisted with media analysis, using Google Analytics and similar software to track social and traditional media patterns.

As an intern in the Johns Hopkins Krieger School of Arts and Sciences Office of External Affairs, I assisted with database entry, constituent outreach, and office management. I successfully planned and implemented a student letter-writing event, and provided a list of suggestions for new types of communications with donors.

As an intern at Mano a Mano International, I assisted with constituent outreach and database managment, as well as office management. I created a comprehensive list of the projects that Mano a Mano has constructed, as well as the foundations with which it has worked, and updated the corresponding pages on the Mano a Mano website. I assisted with translation of correspondence with the organization's partners in Bolivia, and with preparation for off-site events. I had a direct role in the implementation of Mano a Mano's first off-site volunteer events, helping to coordinate and run events at various offices around the Twin Cities, and helped in creating the first-ever "speed volunteering" event, which was executed successfully at the annual meeting of Medtronic executives. My summer at Mano a Mano culminated in a trip to Bolivia, where I facilitated communications among the partner organizations, assisted with logistics for a group of volunteers from the United Kingdom, and wrote updates to publish with the organization's supporters.

As an intern in the Minnesota office of United States Senator Amy Klobuchar, I primarily assisted the State Scheduler in managing the invitations sent to the office, creating summaries of the relevant events, and updating the Senator's calendar. I also assisted with casework, fielding calls from constituents, and office management.
