In November 2014 I designed and implemented the Immersive Studio Project for AJE in Studio 12 which is still the current setup.Since I implemented the Immersive system in Studio 12 I have gone to the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), the television technology trade show held in Las Vegas. While there I became familiar with different technologies involving graphics and I subsequently chose the technology which best suited the Network and we have incorporated that technology into the AJWT project. We are currently using that technology.I am now working on the AJWT project for all aspects of Viz operations within the network. This has involved being the main point of contact for the Immersive set designs for studios 2 and 5. It has also been my responsibility to design the studio workflows for operations of all Viz elements and to assist operators during the piloting stage. This includes all the on-screen graphics, the studio video walls and any other branding that is required. I will also do the same for other channels within the network in the coming months.In addition to working alongside operators I have also expanded my knowledge of the engineering aspects to VizRT. This has allowed me to assist engineers with issues that arise to problem-solve and trouble-shoot during the design and piloting phases.
