• Work with the UK Buying and Design teams to understand the needs of the customer.• Stay updated with UK fashion trends and product directions within Next.• Have a clear understanding of the product offer from the UK Buying and Design teams to establish and implement strategies to achieve the sales target.• Actively review supply base with Merchandising Manager and allocate the development as per supplier strength.• Set sales budget together with merchandiser manager for each relevant product category /department.• Monitor status of samples for selection meetings on a continual basis and make adjustments as necessary.• Work with the design and technical teams within the local office to ensure the product offered to buyer is backed up by excellent service and quality. In particular, development samples and price quotes must always be fast and accurate.

o Carrying out product review meeting with technical team on receipt of any new order.o Good ERP Knowledge, to process all inquiry in the software related to invoices, material and shipping.o Documentation of correspondence that carries important approvals, queries, price closer and style closer o Inspect finished products along with quality team ensuring adherence to quality standard protocols.o Identifying production difficulties and dealing with problems or delays as they arise. o Product development• Follow for season trends with buyer and arranging joint meeting with design team to make new collection for coming season.• Always offering new fabrics or any technique to client to get more business.• Understanding the tech Pack & download it to assistant merchandisers with action plans for development. • Sample submissions to buyer along price within the given timeline.• Get the base test done of all new fabric use for proto development to avoid any delay or rejection at production stage.• Convert product development leads to order, I aim to get the 100% conversion for the order by asking the feedback on proto samples and giving them best price as per their requirement.o Costing and risk assessment• Go deep into the costing of all samples to get the best quote from suppliers.• To give the best quote to buyer I get the sample counter cost from at least 3 supplier, to be very sure on the price we quoting to buyer is the best.• Ensure Once the sample is developed all input of Costing is well documented (CM, Y.Y, fabric price, MOQ, fob price in 3 slots) from supplier.• Pre order risk assessment and send all callouts to buyer and take confirmation.o Production• Taking all closers of style on receipt of order query and quote the delivery.• Conducting order review meeting with our technical team and supplier and discuss all callout for bulk making and get closers from buyer on same.• Discuss T & A with supplier with valid lead time of production.• Work closely with supplier during the production to ensure all submission are on time and solving issues if any.• Conducting the pre-production meeting with supplier technical team and our technical team to discuss the style after getting the comments on Pre-Production sample.• Arrange the inspection after packing of shipment with our technical team or third party as per the client SOP.

o Worked as a product development merchandiser o Sourcing and development of new fabrics on a cheaper rate as per buyer requirement.o Co-ordinate and follow ups with vendors for new developments of prints, laces, embroideries given by buyer.o Co-ordinate and follow ups with factories for on time production delivery.
