I have recently graduated with a Biomedical Science (BSc) at Birmingham City University. My passion for science has started from when I studied applied science which made me keen into studying biomedical science this allowed me to have an academic background and practical experience making me confident, experienced and enthusiastic individual that wants to progress in my career. During my time at university I was able to grasp scientific principles and laboratory procedures through various modules I had completed allowing me to gain laboratory experience of analysing and identifying samples of diseases, culture various samples, conducing DNA methylation, diagnosis and monitoring of blood disorders and interpreting the modern clinical and laboratory haematology. From having to work with my peers within the laboratory, conducing and presenting group presentations I’ve developed strong interpersonal and communication skills that allows me to effectively communicate, active listening, be a team player, take leadership and support colleagues in achieving shared goals and creating a positive collaborative laboratory environment. I have also worked in different franchise allowing me to gain hospitality experiences, customer service, communication, and understanding importance of data entry. I’m interested in working in a laboratory work environment that will allow me to use my skills and experience to progress.
