Supervising and monitoring of commissioning of all machineries on board ship according to the maker standard and checking if the operation and safety standard is complied base on the rules, regulation and requirement of the Classification, Flag State, SOLAS, IMO involved in building new vessel.• To supervise the installation of Main propulsion machineries viz main engines, stern tubes, rudder, shaft lines, propeller, diesel alternators, compressors, cranes, boiler, purifier sewage treatment plant, oily bilge separator, deck machineries ( mooring winch, windlass, anchor) and related outfitting and piping system• To supervise the installation ballast / engine room tanks and related outfitting and piping system. • Approving QAP (Quality Assurance Plan) in consultation with Builder and Class. • Commissioning of auxiliaries for main propulsion, power generation and other equipment.• Lowering of main engines and power Gen equipment.• Main Engine alignment and interfacing with control system. .• Supervising and monitoring the installation of all machineries according to ship building plan/ Analyzing the technical and operational aspect of machineries during Shop test.• Inspection of block assembly and erection according to the ship building plan and yard quality standard.• Mentoring & monitoring the performance of site team members to ensure efficiency in vessel construction and accomplishing targets.• Liaison with Classification societies to ensure compliance with all the regulatory requirements of Class, Flag, National and other International organization

• Represented Owner for activity in shipyard related to the project authorized under shipbuilding Contract and the specifications. • Proposing/ implementing alterations & additions/ modifications of existing systems for higher efficiency, improved performance, user friendliness, increasing maintainability and reliability• Preparation, monitoring and update of the project schedule. Review and coordination with Yard’s schedules• Attendance for Machinery trials, onboard testing, Sea Trials. Onboard Ship

• Monitoring operation and maintenance schedules and correlation with planned operational programmers. Monitoring the functioning of machinery in the engine room to ensure smooth running of the ship.• Up-grading the vessel structure and machinery by continuous inspection and planning.• Conducting machinery surveys to keep the vessel fit from point of view of classification society• Dry-docking/ laying up of vessel with intermediate and special survey.• Promoting HSE awareness and implementing best practice in the shipping industry • Identified and corrected unsafe acts, promoting safety culture• Tracking daily breakdowns, implementing preventive maintenance programs to improve the efficiency of the system or the equipment undergoing maintenance.• Inventory, spares & stores management and preparation of Materials Indent lists.• Controlling the engine room crew consisting of Engineer Officers ( 3rd, 4th, 5th Engineer, Electrical Officer & trainee engineer) along with other ratings.
