Ghana

Under the direct supervision of the General Manager of Freight Links Logistics I was responsible for the following duties:•Managed all documentation of operational activities regarding imports/exports(Free zone, bonded warehouse and direct transaction).•Liaise with GRA (Ghana Revenue Authority) and other regulatory authorities FDA (Food & Drugs Authorities), GSA (GhanaStandards Authorities), EPA (Environmental Protection Authorities), VSD (Veterinary Services Department), GFZ (Ghana FreeZone Board) for purposes of obtaining the necessary shipments clearance certificates.•Overseas contact with carriers.•coordination with shipping lines' local agents.•Securing sea/air freight rates.•Introduced new documentation mechanism, thus reducing and streamlining port clearing process.•Ensure continuous workflow amongst operational departments.•Identified and trained team members on the newly implemented documentation mechanism.•Identified and monitored customer complaints in order to decrease the delay in product deliverance.•Ensuring compliance with all amendments to current legal processes and laws.•Compose, analyze and distribute storage reports with relevant Management personnel.•Managed import operations whereby maintaining contact with overseas network agents (Hellman) and handling theirrespective shipments from port/airport•handling customs clearance up to door delivery.•Achieved all management set targets to their full satisfaction by providing guidance and informed•Perform other duties as required by the GM.Demonstrates professionalism in services provided to customers in terms of meeting deadlines, limiting costs, decreasing delay in product deliverance (on-going).•Introduced new documentation mechanism thus reducing and streamlining clearing process.Building a wide relation within the authorities hence facilitating smooth service deliverance for the benefits of the company and our customers.
