 Accountable for meeting Production and Project dead lines. Plan, organize and direct the operations in the department as per the TOC (Theory of Constraints) way of working. Daily Tool box meetings. Directing, leading and motivating team members; imparting continuous on job training for them Process planning- Process improvements, sequence of machine operations, machine hour’s estimation, improve manpower utilization within existing processes. Responsible for preparation of Annual Business Plan for the department and accordingly suggest CAPEX and other resources and plan for the same. Responsible for driving PMO (Project Management Office) for continual improvements in the department. Responsible for conducting Internal Audits for other departments in the division. Ensuring safe working condition in the department as per OHSAS 18001-2007. Assisting Management Representative (MR) in IMS documentation and Audits and also for Business Excellence assessment. Ensuring compliance to certification validation (Conjugate mixture of ISO 9001-2008, ISO14000-2004 & OHSAS 18001-2007) System. Responsible auditee for External audits conducted by TUV NORD.  Responsible for Quality Assurance in the department. Reducing the defect rate and improve total quality of products by root cause analysis. Responsible for cost reduction by doing Kaizens, 5 S, productivity and yield improvement projects. Participates / initiates on job/class room Training.

 Shop operations with more focus on Total Productive Maintenance. Driving Kaizen culture in the department. Initiating and implementing all the TPM pillars in the department. Responsible for implementation of KAIZENS for 5’S, Safety, Productivity Improvement etc. Performing all the documentation and follow the procedures in the department as per IMS standard. In Productivity and yield Improvement projects: Identifying and implementing projects for productivity and yield improvement to achieve the target. Member of Internal CAPA, External CAPA CFT’s. SMED implementation on Press tools as a part of Lean manufacturing. Reducing the defect rate and improve total quality of products. Cost reduction and on time delivery of components for achieving overall target. Spare & buffer management - inventory control of spares. To maintain and provide the dies, press tools & cutters at the right time & in good condition to the production. Member of Steering committee meeting for manufacturing excellence. Member of Management Review meeting and works Committee meeting. Responsible for new tool development and project execution for new parts ensuring timely execution

 Overall operations in Press shop department. Attending daily production meets. Member of Total Productive Maintenance CFT’s and Safety committee meeting. Training of Workmen in relation to TPM way of working. Followup for Raw Material and required resources from PPC and purchase department respectively. Followup for Toolings from tool management department. Taking care of production entries and operator efficiency in the department to achieve the target of 100% efficiency. Taking corrective actions if any deviations observed. Conducting daily Green corner meetings in the department related to production, Safety, Quality and Environment fronts. Followup with vendors for toolings and also for required accessories for the department. Responsible for maintaining Good Housekeeping in the Department as per 5 S standard. To conduct job Hazard Identification and review Risk Assessment of Hazardous process. Spare and buffer management of toolings.
