(Prepared and analysed monthly journal entries as well as the Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, P & L.• Provide timely explanations on variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets.• Ensures balance sheet reconciliations are completed, reviewed, and reconciling items resolved in a timely manner.• Support annual audits and quarterly reviews by assisting in the preparation of schedules for external auditors and handling internal auditors’ requests.• Manage annual audit financial statements and act as primary liaison with external auditors.• Assist external auditors in filing provisional return of income for Oman Entity.• Provide support and interacts with Group Legal Department in handling legal related issues.• Works closely with Managers and staff to ensure that all the applications and paperwork are legally accurate.• Files legal documents and correspondence, accurately an appropriately.• Lead and manage two accountants and help them to resolve issues arising from day-to-day functions and month-end process.Supervision• Supervise stock count (Annual/Random).• Monitoring of debtors ageing analysis.• Review and verification of receipt vouchers.• Review of daily collections (Cash/Cheques) and manage bank deposits.• Reconciliation and review of debtor’s statement of accounts.• Verification of post-dated cheques.• Manage petty cash procedures.• Reconciliation of bank accounts.• Reconciliation of supplier’s statement of accounts.• Plan, assign and review staff’s work.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WERE;• Prepared monthly operating reports with supported Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss accounts schedules, cash-flow schedule and variance analysis.• Prepared & finalized yearly operating plan with monthly schedules Balance sheet, profit & loss, and cash-flow and variance analysis.• Import LC documentation & processing.• Prepared and maintained annual audit schedules • Liaise with external auditors during financial & internal audits• Supervised accounting staff (3 direct and 1 indirect reporting staff).
