Area of activity involved implement, monitor and measure Save the Children’s Gujarat and Maharashtra State programme activities related to education with an emphasis on improving learning environment for children at elementary stages. Also act as Save the Children’s advocacy representative in the state to a broad range of external stakeholders including relevant government departments on issues related to quality early childhood and elementary education. Key responsibilities: Focal person in the state for development and implementation of education thematic strategy Support strengthening of a state strategy on improving learning environment for children in pre-primary and elementary levels for SC BR’s cotton project and lead its implementation through local NGO partners.  Monitor progress of thematic objectives in education and help measure impact objectively by using a robust MIS Train and build capacities of local partners, teachers, Anganwadi workers and other stakeholders on issues related to quality education including innovative teaching learning methods for early years and elementary schooling.  Timely and quality project/donor reporting, particularly on education  Build/strengthen through leadership state level network/pressure group for knowledge sharing, public opinion and advocacy on equity-based quality elementary education  Build and strengthen effective working relationships with key government departments, particularly education and Women & Child Development for quality education.  Coordinate with the Education Manager in cotton project for cross-state sharing, learning and improvisation of projects.

Responsible for the Project implementation and liaison with Govt. authority. I am responsible for field activities and primarily focus on School Improvement Program namely Kutch Livelihood and Education Advancement Project (K-LEAP) activities in 122 Govt. Primary Schools of Kutch district. I led a team of 13 School Improvement Coordinators (SICs) who directly involved in project implementation at School level. Key Responsibilities: Regular meeting at State and District level with officials like SPD, OIC TT, OIC Gender, DPEO, BRCC and CRCC take place and its recommendations are followed upon. Liaison and converge with Govt. functionaries (SPD, OIC TT, OIC Gender, DPEO, DIET, ADEIs, BRCC, and CRCC) and resource persons/organizations and NGOs at the district and block level for smooth running of the project Development of manual and conduct training/workshop for the quality enhancement Develop field implementation plan based on the approach and strategy of school development and Detail Implementation Plan (DIP). Participate and support strategic planning, monitoring and review meetings at the state level. Conduct district level reviews with the School Improvement Coordinators (SIC).  Provide academic capacity building support to SICs such that they are able to provide academic support for learning enhancement project at the school, cluster level and block level.  Provide regular reports/ feedback/ suggestions and recommendations to the state office for meaningful implementation. Contribute to the development of monitoring and evaluation framework of the project Maintain comprehensive database of the project Monitor financial progress and ensure timely submission of program expenditures and records. Timely implementation of the Monitoring framework in the project area Regular submission of Reports and Success stories

 Plan and manage the outreach intervention in Pre Schools with partner organization. Operationalize and coordinate the outreach plan at the pre-school level together with the core group. Identifying training needs and organizing and facilitate training programs for the teachers of the outreach pre-schools. Regular visits to Pre-Schools of Partner organization for onsite facilitation and better implementation of the programme. Conduct regular Core Group and Monthly Review meetings with key functionaries of Partner organization. Participate in meetings / seminars / orientation at network levels and also outside the network. Organize parental development activities i.e. parents meetings in outreach Balwadies to ensure parental involvement in the programme Monitor the outreach budgetary allocations at the ERC level. Reporting and documentation.

Post- Earthquake Reconstruction Project European Union Gujarat (PERPEUG) for the Earthquake affected elderly people of Kutch, Surendranagar & Rajkot district (funded by European Union Commission)Key Responsibilities: Supporting the work of field supervisors and guiding them by closely working with them Identifying the training needs of the field staff of HI and partner agencies and providing the same for qualitative improvement in the program. Assisting FO to ensure physical verification to cross check the details provided by PA where ever necessary and to bring to PM’s notice if there is any deviation in the same. Close monitoring of the Partner Agencies work and guiding them to effectively implement the project. Conducting regular meetings with Partner Agencies to know the progress of the project, dissemination of information relating to project and resolve the problems if any. Regular field visits to the project area with PA to get the first hand information about the project. Preparing the reports & write case studies of individuals and groups participating in the project; Develop the monitoring and evaluation tools and ensure that the same are practiced to monitor and evaluate the work of PA Organize Village Level Awareness Camps, District Level Awareness Camps & a State Level Awareness Camp on Disaster Preparedness
