Process Safety (PSM) & Risk Assessment:•Supported in the development/ update of key PSM procedures based on DuPont and world-class practices for a major Petrochemical client. Procedures include Process Safety Information, Process Hazard Analysis, Management of Change, Safety Critical Equipment, etc. •Supported Subject Matter Experts in establishing a Risk-Based Management System in production facilities. The system provides the plants with a live view of their top risks, available safeguards & their effectiveness •Contributed to DuPont 22 Element PSM assessments in chemical & petrochemical plants (x10). Worked on Asset Integrity, PSI/PHA, Governance, People & Contractor Management, etc. Each assessment focused on evaluating the client’s risk management system and identifying their top process safety risks. The results were presented to clients’ senior management along with the roadmap to address the identified risks and close identified systemic gapsManagement Operating Systems (MOS) •Introduced visual management and KPI & action tracking to client meetings to enhance the quality of discussions across the different levels of the organization. Worked on enhancing meeting from shop floor to C-Level•Developed an integrated KPI tree and PowerBi dashboard for a major Petrochemical client to enable the organization to have a complete view of its performance across the different areas and identify key focus areas; to improve operations, and reduce risksCultural Transformation:•Conducted cultural assessments to identify client maturity (x10). • Participated in the design, experimentation, data collection and analysis, and paper drafting of a project launched by Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture under the supervision of Dr. Joseph Zeaiter (Chemical Engineering Department)• The study assessed the concentration of heavy metals in the fruits and vegetables grown in Lebanon, and the possible adverse effects of such concentrations

• Assessed the gaseous emissions of the Sub-Ohm Electronic Cigarette using the FTIR. The research was conducted by the Chemistry department in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Chemical Engineering Department in the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at AUB in collaboration with Virginia Commonwealth University for the Center for the Study of Tobacco Product (CSTP)• Published a paper on the findings (link in publications).

Lebanon

• Lead FEAA 200 lab sessions; an introductory course to engineering• Was responsible of guiding the students on how to build and program a robot using LABVIEW

•Worked on optimizing lubricant production and maximizing warehouse utilization following market demand and share•Led the weekly quality control of the lubricating oil distributed to clients (Holcim, UNIPAK, Cimenterie Nationale, Sodamco, F contracting etc.)•Developed a case study to determine the business opportunities of MEDCO in importing and distributing ultra – low sulfur fuel oil (0.1%) (ULSFO) following the International Maritime Organization(IMO) regulation

• Selected by the Student Work Study Program to be an office assistant at the University for Seniors• The program aims to provide a life-long learning opportunity for adults (50 and above) by sharing their wisdom and passion, to learn things they have always wanted to learn in a friendly academic environment, and to interact socially with other seniors, AUB faculty and students• Was responsible of logistics, administration, and the social media accounts• Conducted one-on-one interviews and focus groups to collect feedback from the enrolled seniors on the content provided, and developed work plans to address the issues identified to enhance the experience of the students
