As a motivated aero-mechanical engineer from the University of Strathclyde, I am eager to develop my technical and soft skills in industry. Throughout my education, I have learned to work practically, innovatively, and collaboratively, including during my exchange at Louisiana State University where I adapted to a new environment and diverse team dynamics.I joined StrathSEDS in my first year, sparking my interest in the space sector and rocketry. I later served as Treasurer, managing finances for rocketry projects and the society. I then subsequently became an Advisor, sharing my knowledge with new members. My passion for rocketry led me to a project with the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland, exploring reusability of the second stage in rocket structures using composite materials, where I gained valuable manufacturing experience. To broaden my expertise, my 4th-year dissertation focused on analysing satellite network geometries and constellation performance using MATLAB. For my master's thesis, I contributed to the STRATHcube project, working on software development for CubeSat systems - this included acceptance into the ESA: Fly Your Satellite Design Booster programme.

I took on the role of Advisor to help the committee manage the administrative side of their roles. This also allowed me to share my knowledge to members within the society that I had gained from my years in university
As treasurer for StrathSEDS, I managed the budgets for the rocketry teams and the wider society. I was able to secure partnerships with ANSYS, SolidWorks & RS Components amongst others.I was also able to highlight the incredible work StrathSEDS does leading to increased funding for the societies projects
Throughout my years within SEDS, I have been involved with the rocketry team which enters into 2 rocketry competitions - the National Rocketry Championship and Mach. It is a privilege being part of these student-led projects and being able to reap the rewards at the end of each year.

My time at NMIS was spent within the LMC looking at the manufacture and testing of a reusable space launch vehicle – specifically the development of a second stage made with composite materials. I worked directly with these materials, looking at the b-stage process and automated fibre placement amongst other manufacturing processes. I also developed my skills and knowledge of CAD and 3D printing whilst carrying out testing with my focus being on developing Liquid Oxygen fuel tanks.

Whilst with Scottish Power, I worked closely with the teams looking into clientele liason and product testing procedures. Furthermore, I was responsible for the creation of technical guidelines currently being used by Scottish Power engineers and customers. This was a great opportunity to look into the day-to-day running of the business and understand the office environment and culture.
I had the opportunity to organise a regional event for the European Youth Parliament at Oxford's Lady Margaret Hall in which local schools attended for competition. As the contact point for all attending, I had to deal with several adversaries on the day due to the growing covid pandemic which was done so in a manner that resulted in a smooth-running event on the day which was enjoyed by everyone there!
