This made one transformer as spare out of two.• Installation of OLTC in the receiving transformers and stabilized voltage of the plant leading to reduction in electrical motor failure.• Replacing old design synchronous motors with white metal friction bearings with new generation induction slip ring motors with anti friction bearings and VPI winding and fitting the same on the same bed plates.
