My professional journey began with a focus on technology. Immediately following my undergraduate studies in Computer Science at Shah Jalal University of Science and Engineering, I gained valuable industry experience as a Web Developer at SlashWeb, a French-based software firm. This early exposure to the IT field was followed by a position (System Support Engineer) in the IT department of Eastern Bank Limited (a third-generation private commercial bank in Bangladesh).In 2010, I transitioned to a career in central banking by joining Bangladesh Bank as an Assistant Director. Since then, I have served in core departments critical to financial system stability, including the Financial Stability Department, Banking Inspection Department, SME and Special Programs Department, and the Financial Inclusion Cell. During this tenure, I also pursued and obtained a Master's Degree specializing in Bank Management from the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management. My contributions at Bangladesh Bank have included instrumental roles in developing the Bangladesh systemic risk dashboard, annual and quarterly financial stability reports, research on aligning financial stability indicators with the SDGs and analyzing cyberattack threats to the banking sector.Now, driven by a strong interest in big data analytics, causal inference, systemic risk management, and economic development, I am embarking on a new chapter in my academic journey. To further my knowledge base and research skills in these areas, I have recently begun doctoral studies in Information Systems at the Robert C. Vackar College of Business and Entrepreneurship at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, commencing in Fall 2023.
