In addition to the duties of my previous role, I now lead the efforts behind creating Supplier Capacity Guidance for all our products for the next three years. As part of continuous improvement to the entire process, I have recently initiated Supplier Webcasts for the entire BU, wherein I disseminate demand information for the next 3 years for our critical components to our critical suppliers quarterly. I am also the BU Subject Matter Expert for a company wide Aggregate Planning Project aimed at further enhancing the Planning process.

I lead the Supply Review for our business unit. I gather demand forecast data and create a supply plan for the next 3 years. Working with Manufacturing and Sourcing, I analyze it to highlight the potential gaps between demand and supply. Once highlighted, I track the Vulnerabilities and Opportunities over the next 3 years and work with Finance to financialize them. I hold periodic meetings between key stakeholders from Product management, Marketing, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Finance and Supply Chain to plan mitigation action. I work with the different plants to find out Supply Chain Issues which they currently face and work with them to better understand the limitations. I put processes in place to remediate the situation. I led a 6S project to improve Order Fulfillment, Delivery, reduce Backorders & Lead Time through better use of planning parameters.I am currently the Subject Matter Expert for our BU for a Global Planning Project spanning the entire company. I work with the Design Team to convey the business processes for our BU and ensure provisions are made so that we can run efficiently going ahead. I also work with plant Materials Teams to hear their concerns and, if legitimate, find ways to mitigate those using the new Global Planning Processes. I also design new and improved Supply Chain processes based on the new capabilities achieved through the project. I help resolve conflicts between the central team and the plant teams.I am currently leading a 6S project to develop the capability to measure the accuracy and relevance of our critical supply chain parameters which we use in our ERP, spanning the areas of Planning, BOM, Routing and Sourcing.

I used my expertise to help the plant manage its supply chain better. I defined business processes around Scheduling, Supply Planning and Exception Management, Flow and Discrete Manufacturing at 2 plants. I designed the processes with a goal of simplification and stability in the supply chain and ensured there is active participation from the business process owners. After I defined the processes and they were agreed upon, I trained the key stakeholders on the new processes and how to perform the entailed tasks. I made use of supply chain analytics to identify areas where we can improve, such as better forecasting, better inventory management, reduced supplier lead times, lower MOQs, etc.After the changes were decided upon, I also planned for change management. I went through gaps between current processes and the future processes and estimated the additional resources required and provided my recommendation to plant leadership. When the plant ran into any issues in their supply chain performance or planning, I was the first person, along with my manager, where they came looking for help.I created reports for supply chain leadership through which complex data was powerfully conveyed in a succinct manner. One assignment which I am particularly proud of was creating a process in which true capacity, true demand and forecast are all presented simultaneously for easy comparison. This helped us plan for capacity ahead of demand.

I worked closely with customers to understand their priorities and plan for the parts accordingly. I planned, scheduled, purchased and managed inventory for MTO and MTS parts on 5 assembly lines. During my tenure, I improved On Time Delivery from 89.9% in Q1 to 99.4% in Q3 on one line and from 69.6% in Q3 of 2013 to 95.6% in Q4 of 2014 on anotherI led 6S Greenbelt Project on plant cost optimization, with an annual savings of $78K and led continuous improvement projects in Shipping, Receiving, Order fulfillment and Inventory Control areas.I have managed the Supply Chain implications of new product introductions and product obsolescence by working closely with Product, Engineering and Operations teams. I have faced supply shortages and have worked with the Sourcing team to find capacity ahead of such shortage. In extreme situations, I have also worked with Engineering to use substitute materials without affecting, form, fit or function.
