About Captain Samir El Eid

I am a qualified senior civil aviation professional with over 45 years of airline experience.My greatest passion is training & mentoring pilots.I have spent more than 25 years in training pilots from ab-initio to the B777 senior airline Captain's level.The best reward for any flight instructor is to see his/her student achieves the best performance in the field of aviation.Trainee pilots are the product of the Instructor, therefore quality pilot training is important for safety.My last airline was Qatar Airways as a Simulator Flight Instructor (SFI) on the B777.Qatar Airways has given me the advantage of instructing pilots at all levels from a newly graduated co-pilot to a very high senior captain on the B777 using the best up-to-date instructing technique as well as utilizing the latest high-tech equipment used by Qatar Airways state of art Integrated Flight Training center at Doha as well as utilizing Singapore & London training centers.My actual flying hours were 23.748 and my simulator total hours in class (D) simulator were 10.417 hours as SFE/SFI on the B737/B777.In the year 2000, I was hired by ALTEON A BOEING COMPANY (renamed BOEING TRAINING & SERVICES) as the first instructor/ Examiner to initiate the B737NG simulator training center on behalf of Boeing for Korean Airlines, thereafter I have worked for Boeing as TCE/TCI for 7 years instructing in South Korea, Japan & China Boeing training centers. I also worked for Emirates-CAE Flight Training Academy located in Dubai for 2 years as a full-time SFE/SFI on the B737/B777 and thereafter part-time SFI/SFE utilizing the latest training technique used by CAE.Moreover, I have held the following management positions during my aviation career, Director of the flight operation for a new startup airline in Greece where hiring pilots, Cabin crew, renting & or purchasing airliners, and subsequently flight testing the airplanes was part of my job.Other management positions experience, B737NG fleet standardization manager, training consultancy for the flight training centers, flight safety departments & Flight Operations adviser.
