High-performing scientist with >15 years experience in protein science, molecular biology, and microbial genetics as well as leadership experience in both academic and biotech settings.I am currently an Associate Director of Biology at Innoviva Specialty Therapeutics where I utilize molecular biology, various -omics approaches, and protein science methodologies to progress our pipeline. I am also Project Team Leader on an NIH-funded contract, directing biology tasks and working closely with the medicinal chemistry and DMPK teams. Previously, I was Principal Investigator on an NIH-funded post doctoral training grant investigating the role of integral-membrane proteases in Staphylococcus aureus cell division ($105,000+) and a contributor to a large multi-lab project grant ($5 million+).
