Inherited a troubled program that had been underestimated and product launch had already been announced. Stopped the current inefficient process of development, analyzed and anticipated issues. Overhauled the technical architecture and directed the technical team to build an automated tool for conversion. Motivated a team of 150, resulting in a 120% increase in productivity and 80% reduction in defects. Total cost savings for project was $2 million. The project management office was delighted at this execution.

Serviced numerous clients in the areas of project management and technical design. Challenged to support a difficult to satisfy client, developed the relationship and built performance metrics to manage the support contract. Resulted in 7 successful releases of the system and an additional $3 million worth of support contracts over the next 3 years.Clients’ employees were unprepared to use new technology. Created and implemented training plan and an evaluation matrix to assess current and ongoing knowledge levels. In 4 months, trained 20 employees in technical and operational aspects of the system. Impact was a smooth transition and ongoing enhancement contracts in excess of $3 million. The ACES project was one of the nation’s first web based Welfare Eligibility System. The web based rules engine determined eligibility for federal and state welfare programs like Medicaid, Medicare, TANF, and Food Stamps.
