Had taken up the assignment with Asia Pulp & Paper, the 4th largest Paper tissue player globally, as India Country Head – Tissue. It was a startup business in India and mandate was to roll out Tissue products in Retail and Away-From-Home segment in India with complete responsibility for the business.

The responsibilities included managing & expanding company’s personal care business in Sri Lanka through new product launches in hair colour and soap category respectively along with local manufacturing initiatives and organizational & distribution build up.

Was promoted to the position of Vice President & Business Head for Godrej SCA Hygiene Ltd, a 50:50 Joint Venture between Godrej Consumer Products Ltd and SCA Hygiene Products AB. The JVC was a start-up entity and the position reported into the J.V. Board chaired by Mr. Adi Godrej. The primary responsibility was to roll out SCA’s global brands in India with end-to-end responsibility from preparation of the strategic plans to the implementation in-market.

It was a start-up business for the parent company SCA Hygiene in India hence the position needed a very entrepreneurial approach in terms of assessing business opportunities in India, developing short and medium term objectives alongwith the deliverables. Achievements included successful launch of global leading brands - "Tena" incontinence care products and Tork range of AFH Tissues in India.

Joined JK Ansell as a Management Trainee through Campus recruitment by Raymond, during my MBA program. Last designation held was Manager – Marketing.
