Senior Power System Design Engineer
CurrentKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:-The position forms a key role as part of the design team and is primarily responsible for providing low/extra low voltage AC/DC electrical equipment (Industrial UPS/Battery Chargers/DC Power Systems/Battery Energy Storage (BESS)) designs, equipment specification, bill of materials and plans in line with relevant customer specification documentation and standards.-Participate in risk assessments, order reviews and design reviews to ensure the continual improvement of design quality.-Prepares works packages, undertakes system improvements, identifies design problems, ensures best utilization of software, provides mechanical design advice.The role will also co-ordinate with external supplier’s liaise with the workshop personnel on build issues and compile manuals in soft format for issue to client.-Train and develop internal staff and work with others where necessary to meet the workload and development of the Design team.-Preparation of technical quotes and tender packages for submission for internal sales and client's meeting scope of works, Australian and Ampcontrol group standards.-Preparation of ITP documentation and submission documentation including As Built drawings, user manuals for final submission.-Product support for wide range of power conversion equipment to the CPS project management teams and clients.
