I worked in WWF Myanmar to set up their freshwater and sustainable hydropower programme, which included strategy, programmes, funding, policy advocacy and team building.

I am currently on a sabbatical traveling around the world. My plan is now to find new challenging work from Myanmar to lend my expertise and experience for a good cause, and grow as a professional and as a person at the same time.

I am managing one of WWF's global initiatives, which is currently based from Bhutan. The programme covers Nepal, Bhutan and northern states of India. The programme focuses particularly on freshwater, ecosystem connectivity and climate change at regional level.

Project design, planning and resource mobilisation

UNDP Ethiopia. Project management focussing on sustainable development, natural resources management, environment and livelihoods. Specifically focussing on the implementation of 3 key International Environmental Conventions (UNCBD, UNFCCC, UNCCD). Managed the national UNDP GEF portfolio. Technical and financial support to the Ethiopian government with major focus on the 2nd generation national Poverty Reduction Strategy Programme (PRSP) and it's environmental components. Mobilised over USD 20 million from GEF and other sources for the environment sector in Ethiopia during my tenure.

I worked for a small small community based environmental project, located in Northern Namibia. I supervised student trainees, assumed temporarily an acting coordinator position and carried out final evaluation for the project.

As an international tutor I provided introduction course and guidance to exchange students. I was also organising hiking trips for exchange students and provided tutoring in Finnish language studies. As the head editor of student magazine, Impulssi, I was responsible for the production and editorial part of the paper and oversight of the work of the student journalists. As the member of the student council I participated in the student council's work as per the mandate and standard functions.
