Prior to setting up Norwest Digital Telecommunications & working as the Sales Director I worked at another telecoms company, Atlantic Communications, as the account manager. I was head hunted by Phono Car Group on the Wirral to set-up a telephone systems division & to reflect this new diversity the company changed name to Atlantic Communications.I introduced manufacturers such as Panasonic with their wide range of systems, Ferranti Communications Rhapsody range of systems, SDX Index & GPT Plessey now NEC. I introduced business telephone systems as a product within the Company's portfolio which mainly consisted of mobile phones, fax machines, pagers, two-way radios and ship to shore radios.I was responsible for training sales & engineering personnel on sales & installation of telephone systems. After leaving British Telecoms, I joined Talking Point Telephones where I was trained on telephone system sales. The company sold various mobiles, landlines & accessories. My main role was selling telephone systems to local businesses in the Hertfordshire area.The role involved ringing potential customers to see if they wanted our digital phones & services. I was part of a group tasked with increasing the amount of sales the company made. I had to have knowledge on the telecoms company, the products & what services we supplied in order to provide customers with accurate information.This helped me to gain the experience needed for my current role as MD & Sales Director at Norwest Digital Telecommunications. My current role involves selling NEC & Samsung business telephone systems, VOIP systems, hosted systems packages & our services to potential customers.Learning about the telecoms sector & the products allows me to give detailed explanations to our customers on the products & services we offer.
