Having been inspired by my passion for events and 2 previous teaching roles I set up Learn & Experience in 2009 with the goal of providing opportunities for young people from different cultures and backgrounds.We started very small. A 2 week summer camp at Aysgarth School, North Yorkshire with just over 20 children attending (and nearly as many staff!). We had children from all backgrounds; from socially deprived areas of UK attending on L&E funded scholarships to children from Italy, Spain, France & Hong Kong! Everyone had a wonderful time. (including myself and all staff!) There was an incredible atmosphere with everyone learning so much from each other whether it was a sport, personal/social skills, cultural understanding or the English Language. We had 3 simple rules - 1. Be Kind, 2.Be Kind, 3. Be Kind! They worked! The concept worked and we knew we had something special. L&E was born...Over the past 13 years I have overseen the growth of L&E from hosting just 20 children from 4 countries in our first year to thousands from over 50 different countries spread throughout our current programmes including:- World Camps (hosted at several venues across UK and Canada)- Teen Travel Tours (UK, Europe and Canada) - unique trips where the teens will "learn skills for future journeys".- Educational Consultancy - helping families find the right school using our extensive knowledge of schools in UK, USA and Canada.- Youth Leadership Workshops and Events- School Trips offering Language & Cultural experiences- Elite Football Camps working with several Professional clubs including Manchester City and Leeds United.I am particularly proud of the scholarship/bursaries we provide to young people who wouldn't otherwise be able to have such experiences.

Vancouver Adaptive Snow Sports (VASS) runs skiing and snowboarding programs for persons with a disability at Grouse, Seymour and Cypress Mountains. VASS makes the mountain experience accessible to all.

Massively enjoy instructing professionally at Cypress Mountain (albeit very part-time!). I am mainly involved with the ALTS program (Adults Learning to Ski) providing 4 week (10 hour) courses to beginner skiers. The individual journeys of each skier is particularly rewarding.

A very special period of my life where I was surrounded by wonderful, inspiring people in an amazing setting. Taught Geography and History and coached lots of sports. Was heavily involved with the boarding house and took charge of numerous trips and leadership days.

Absolutely loved my time at Marlborough College. Was involved with teaching, sports coaching, boarding house tutoring, Summer School and also got involved with lots of projects and tours. It really gave me a fantastic platform for my future career.
