I bring people together and make great things happen and have started and scaled a mix of charities, businesses and ideas to that end. I love working with smart people and can intuitively see opportunities to help others make their vision come true. For the last ten years, I’ve worked to create stronger social infrastructure and resilience through an organisation I founded called SVA (Student Volunteer Army). As Chief Executive I grew the team, funding and programmes to impact thousands of young people's lives and designed community responses to many major crises and disasters that earned our team several awards. I am Projects Director at STILL, a family office entrepreneurial venture founded by Hideaki Fukutake that pursues projects that amplify the fundamentals of human nature, focusing on people, nature, arts and culture. I am a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors. I serve in property, tourism and arts governance roles in my day job and am a director of Christchurch's Isaac Theatre Royal and the Student Volunteer Army. I am a former director of Prince's Trust New Zealand, Ministry of Awesome, Plunket Foundation, Westpac's Sustainability Panel and the International Association of Volunteer Effort in Washington DC. I am an Adjunct Fellow in the School of Leadership and Education at the University of Canterbury.

Board Member (Elected)Riccarton/ Wigram Community Board Oct 2010 - Oct 2013As a University student I stood for election for the local City Council community board in 2010 to better link students with the wider community. In my 3 year term, I helped our board navigate through a number of complex issues around city planning, infrastructure priorities, disaster response and other community issues. I turned down the opportunity to stand for full council, despite a generous offer to become Deputy Mayor, to pursue opportunities further afield in 2013. -
