Lightup (lightup.ai) uses state-of-the-art AI and signal processing techniques to detect drifts in data. Was the first non-founder employee; designed and implemented core algorithms in the product. Lightup is funded by top VC firms, including Andreessen Horowitz (a16z).

Totemic is making a wearable-free sensor for older adults that uses AI to monitor daily activities and to detect falls. I designed novel AI algorithms which now play a crucial role in the device. Being an early-stage startup, I also performed numerous other things when needed such as firmware engineering, RF testing, user research, recruiting and ordering groceries!

As part of the two-quarter Biodesign Innovation class (BIOE 374A/B), I worked with a highly interdisciplinary team of doctors, engineers and business school students to solve real-world medical problems related to hearing loss. Was selected as one of the best teams in the class, and pursued the idea further with a $10k Summer Extension Funding provided by Stanford Biodesign. Worked with developers, designers, and doctors and led the efforts to bring the idea from PowerPoint slides to an actual prototype.

Used state-of-the-art AI techniques to enhance the quality of video-conferencing over cellular networks. Showed a stunning live demo to the CTO of a top wireless carrier in the US.Uhana was acquired by VMware in July 2019.
