Technical Sales Representative
Current• Managing all RFI/RFP/RFQ queries within the territory and acting as the first point of contact for external customers as well as distribution partners.• Identifying and securing sales opportunities for Xylem's engineered product portfolio within mining, municipal wastewater, oil and gas, power generation, agriculture, and construction industries.• Working directly with engineers, consultants, buyers, contractors, operators, and distribution partners to provide technical and commercial expertise on packaged pumps, monitoring and electrical control systems, prefabricated lift stations, mixing equipment, and heat exchangers.• Managing engineering project activities in different stages of the sales cycle - reviewing tenders, developing bid strategies in compliance with specifications, creating quotes and proposals, creating shop drawings, and facilitating start-up and commissioning with the help of field technicians.• Negotiating B2B and B2C product pricing agreements.• Demonstrating a solid understanding of EPC scope, procurement processes, P&ID's, PFD's, and electrical drawings to provide proposals based on engineering/project specifications.• Facilitating communication between multiple suppliers, distribution partners, and end customers, and coordinating their activities.• Providing competitive pricing by undertaking cost vs. margin analysis studies.• Calling upon expertise from application engineers, project managers, and customer service teams as required to complete bid packages.• Developing accurate sales pipelines and revenue forecasts through follow-ups between purchase-order intake and order invoicing.• Generating sales on spare parts and service.• Attending client meetings, engaging in technical discussions, participating in trade shows, conducting product/process lunch and learn sessions, and other pre/post sales activities as needed, and developing close working relationships.• Utilizing tools such as Salesforce.com, Zoom, Microsoft Teams.
