Deployed the first successful virtualized Avid PAM environment used in a customer environment.Documented recommendations as to workflow and technical improvements for increased uptime, long-term functionality and reduced operational overhead. Analyzed root cause of failures to determine if issues were caused by Avid products, interactions with third parties, failed hardware, or incorrect documentation. Delivered Network consulting to design and implement Networks to be used for Media creation environments. Delivered Virtualization consulting (vmware/esxi) to help customer move Media Asset Management solutions( and other products) into a virtual environment.

Spearheaded support offerings for “strategic” customers in both Chicago and Los Angeles. Worked directly as a member systems engineering team with log gathering and analysis for critical customer issues, implementing custom fixes to mitigate customer issues while new patches and longer-term solutions were developed.

Designed an internal solution to ensure customer issues were responded to while Avid Engineers were out of the office. Resolved customer issues for the the Level 2 escalation pager for Media Composer and Interplay PAM,triaging and responding to greatest complexity customer issues during times of highest urgency as the technical resource of last resort after-hours.Provided leadership in resolving technically complex cases, or “escalations”, for the entire Avid Video Editing Solution Stack : analyzed customer logs, reproduced bugs, worked as part of the ‘Systems Engineering Team’ while still fulfilling all ‘frontline’ responsibilities and mentoring new employees.

Answered student questions about Avid and Pro Tools to help students completetheir film projects. Ran demonstrations and tutorials for students to introduce them to Avid.

In addition to normal editing duties, oversaw post production on bothProduction Group projects for clients and Trojan Vision shows.

Updated and conformed database of contacts and vendors. Managed dailies, hard drives, and other information to and from editing rooms and Focus Features office. Checked VFX status reports for irregularities. Videotaped audience responses to preview screenings. Prepared DVD excerpts from films in Post to give to composers and title companies.
