As the inaugural County Administrator, I lead the County’s staff under the direction of the County Commissioners. My primary responsibilities include addressing the budget deficit, increasing the fund balance, fostering leadership cohesion, and cultivating a high-performance culture. Additionally, I spearhead the development of the County’s strategic plan with a strong emphasis on customer service.

Lead a dedicated team of 200+ IT professionals and budget of $48M as we serve the unemployed and the employers through out Washington State

• Lead the operations of the IT organization with 85 FTEs and 4 functional managersresponsible for application development, cloud engineering, service desk, security, project management and infrastructure & operations support using ServiceNow as the service management and project portfolio management platform.• Serve as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) while creating a centralized information security office.• Lead the Cybersecurity Incident Response Team whenever information security incidents occur, including rapid response for damage control and retrospective sessions to prevent future incidents.• Design and implement 360o performance assessment for IT personnel• Serve as an executive member of department’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) committee

At the tail end of Heartland development projects by Meritage in Gilroy, we are a gated community of 73 homes with first occupancy in March 2018. There are three other Heartland developments in our area, one currently under construction as a fill-in with nine homes and no HOA.

I look forward to keeping Gilroy's unique small-town character while supporting our garlic and wine industries. I'd also like to see our young people, the elderly, other vulnerable population able to afford to live in our beloved community.

Provide oversight and leadership for planning and managing enterprise-wide County infrastructure and operations services and support. Ensure systems performance and service-level requirements are exceeded or met. Responsible for IT resources to ensure appropriate balance between tactical and strategic demands of Department services and support in the areas of IT Engineering, Application Platforms, IT and Security Operations, and Lean/Continuous Improvement. Change agent for IT consolidation, implementing the new IT Career Compass (ITCC) and Organizational Change Management (OCM). Serves as the executive sponsor of major enterprise IT initiatives.
