My former employer (CEO) at Dunamu Investments asked me to join his new blockchain startup, Actwo Technologies. The company's more known to public as the host of Deconomy conference. My role here is business planning and operations, with some little development projects such as building bots for market-making and volume generation.I plan on leaving the company by the end of May to launch my own business--a true coin rating agency! yay!! ... Putting it this way doesn't sound like much fun, but it really will be fun!

Dunamu Investments is an affiliated company of Dunamu, more renown as a crypto-exchange Upbit. Dunamu Investments runs a fintech brand Kakao Stock MAP, a platform where individual investor can be provided with investment advisory service at competitively low cost. I was titled Chief Investment Officer, but the actual work was more related to developing quantitative investment models. The company was planning on introducing quant investment strategies to replace human advisors on the platform for cost-reduction.For marketing purposes I participated in Roboadvisor Testbed, a competition showcase ran by KOSCOM under the supervision of Financial Services Commission. Until the company decided to shut down the project in August, I was ranked 3rd with the accumulated performance of 8.5% in 3 months. Company's decision of project shutdown was made because there weren't enough developer resources amid its preparation of launching a new crypto-exchange--that's right, Upbit.My last two months at this company, I worked as a developer/service planning at Upbit. I recently quit the job to focus on developing reverse ICO projects.

KG Zeroin is a fund ratings company that modeled after Morning Star Fund Ratings (of course, this cannot be the official explanation of KG Zeroin's business model). Until recently KG Zeroin was the one and only fund data provider in Korea and therefore enjoyed the monopoly for over ten years. As of March 2018, it still holds the number one title in terms of local market share for fund data provision and portfolio consulting to financial institutions (e.g. NPS and Postal Services).[Roles and Duties]For the first year I worked at KG Zeroin, I was in Fund Ratings Team whose duties include data management and index development. I later made my own team named "Index Factory" whose purpose is to provide portfolio advisory service indirectly through active quant indices.The latter part of my times at the company, I was working as a portfolio consultant for Teacher's Pension and Gov't Employee's Pension. The job as a portfolio consultant is pretty much related to risk management and reporting.I was so stressed out with this job, begged CEO to put me back to the Ratings Team, but did not find any luck. I was offered a position as a quantitative fund manager at a fintech company named Dunamu Investment, and decided to pursue this opportunity.

The name Urich Asset Management was changed from Urich Investment Advisory after it was granted the license of Private Fund in 2016. While my tenure at the company, it was one of the largest advisory firm in terms of AUM.I started this job because the founder, Mr. Jeon Oh Jong offered me the position of risk management and asset allocation. I quit this job because the same person who hired me was fired from his office. Yes, literally, the founder was dismissed from his office, just like Steve Jobs.
