About Sam King
Sam King is a Senior Visual Effects Artist at Blizzard Entertainment. Colleagues describe them as "Sam and I worked together on the Sydney Olympics, and for about three weeks we mirrored each other on a 24 hour shift, overlapping for just two hours a day, yet managing all of the same workflow. Sam was the night shift, and I was the day shift. During that time, we churned out about 350 stories on 16 sports. Sam has a great way about him; he strives to find order and make sense of things. He's a calm and experienced communicator, able to quickly find the facts and sort through large amounts of data to find the core of any matter. He's very level headed, diplomatic, and has a reassuring presence. Sam is also very good at organizing data, information and large numbers of assets. He sees natural patterns in things, and quickly and easily navigates through complex scenarios. As a colleague, Sam is excellent in finding the fun in everyday events. And, he's good at keeping teams focused and energized, even at rather mundane tasks. I found him to be personable, encouraging, and a great motivator. I think he'd be great with any team."
