I lead the project to establish The STEAM Factory, a combined coworking and industrial makerspace in Danville Virginia. The goal of the project was to create a facility that would support the entrepreneurial communities through access to equipment and programming, as well as creating educational opportunities for the business based programming in the K-12 public schools, Danville Community College, and Averett University. My Responsibilities included:- Researching makerspaces and coworking spaces to establish best practices- Within a team, developing a pro-forma budget- Conduct Public Interest surveys- Work with management consultants to establish sustainable plans- Work with the building developer to establish build out plans, and rates- Co-author the final grant proposal

Intro to Video Techniques class - I developed the class to not only include narrative filmmaking, but also to include corporate style videography such as informational videos, interviews, etc.My responsibilities included: - Research and order all equipment - Create class curriculum - Implement the class into the existing Graphic Information Technology Program Instrument (Guitar) Building Program - I took this program from concept to reality. This program had two goals:1. Teach S.T.E.M. skills through practical, experiential learning2. Create opportunities for local entrepreneurs to create, sell, and repair musical instrument productsMy responsibilities included: - Establishing the program with the Virginia Community College System, creating the classes and descriptions, creating curriculum, and completing program approval- Researching, ordering and organizing the equipment and facilities for the program- Teaching all classes including Acoustic and Electric Guitar Building, Finishing, Inlay, Intro to ToolsMetal Arts Program - I took this program from concept to reality. Working directly with the Presidents of Danville Community College and Averett University in effort to facilitate a local community Arts and Entrepreneurial Center. I was responsible for designing the promotional and informational material for the organization. It was critical that I stayed true to the design standards while creating compelling material to engage potential students to enroll in classes and programming. Examples of materials produced are:- Wall hanging and free standing banners- Fliers and rack cards- Digital materials for web and social media distribution- Organizational Annual Report layout

As Program Coordinator, my job was to help design the curriculum around modern creative industry practices that instill marketable skills in the students. To do so, I would regularly reach out to creative firms in the region to determine what they were looking for in new hires. I also held regular outreach efforts to recruit students from local public schools.

At Exemplum we created interactive, animated product demonstrations for web based retail outlets. During my time there, our clients were companies such as Hasbro Toys, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, etc. My responsibilities/positions at Exemplum were:- Digital Photo Editor for stop frame animations created in Adobe Flash- Lead Product Photographer - Photography included glamor shots and still frame animation sequences- 3D modeling for product animations created in Maya.

I was a graduate student employee at Montclair State University. My responsibilities were to provide on-site support for the campus community following attempts to resolve issues via phone support. I would provide support for computer terminals, mobile devices, printers, etc.
