Sam, the development officer, accomplished a significant digital transformation of the campsite, which included several key improvements.- Developed a Campsite Management System (CMS), covering all aspects of the campsite's operations, from online reservations and payments to daily backend tasks. This system has re-engineered the workflow between customers, campsite staff, and outsourced vendors, leading to improved efficiency and customer satisfaction.- Restructured the Server System, with virtualization and a disaster recovery plan. This reduced downtime from several days to just minutes in the event of a disaster.- Restructured the Network System, upgraded the backbone bandwidth and prioritized network traffic, using VLANs to separate different clients. Implemented a new WiFi system capable of easily handling over 1,000 clients simultaneously.- Shift to an IP Phone system with an Interactive Voice Response System, providing general information automatically and improving service quality.Overall, Sam's efforts have significantly improved the digital capabilities of the HKFYG Jockey Club Sai Kung Outdoor Training Camp, providing a better experience for visitors and increasing operational efficiency.
